I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and hold a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Psychology, graduating with honours. I have experience providing online peer support and have volunteered with the Single Women in Motherhood Training Program, where I supported single mothers navigating personal and systemic challenges.
As a first-generation immigrant from an Arab/Middle Eastern background, I understand the complexities of balancing multiple identities, navigating cultural expectations, and adjusting to new environments. My involvement within immigrant and broader BIPOC communities has deepened my awareness of the unique stressors many individuals face, including feelings of isolation, pressure to succeed, and the challenge of carrying responsibilities while struggling internally.
I am especially passionate about supporting young adults, women, students, and individuals who experience anxiety, overwhelm, or the sense that they are “going through it alone.” I aim to create a space where you feel truly safe, heard, and understood. A place where your experiences are validated and your growth unfolds at a pace that feels right for you.
As a Muslim, my work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and meeting you where you are. I view therapy as a space we build together, one where you can show up honestly, without feeling judged or rushed. While I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and strengths-based practices, I always adapt our work to fit your needs and your pace.
Above all, I hope to offer a safe space where you feel truly heard and understood, supported as you navigate challenges, and encouraged to grow into the person you’re meant to be. It’s a privilege to support you on your journey.
