Low-Cost Therapist

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies, which has grounded my understanding of how social determinants of health, such as income, culture, and access to services, shape our mental and emotional wellbeing.

My background in advocacy and outreach support within marginalized communities has given me a deep appreciation for the layered realities many people carry. I understand firsthand that our mental health is never separate from the broader circumstances of our lives, and I bring that awareness into every therapeutic relationship.

As a Somali Muslim woman and a mother, I know what it means to hold multiple identities at once; to navigate cultural expectations, personal responsibilities, and competing priorities all at the same time. These experiences have shaped my commitment to offering a space that is genuinely inclusive, affirming, and free of judgment.

I am especially passionate about working with women, mothers, and those from BIPOC and immigrant communities, as well as anyone who has ever felt too stretched to make space for what they were carrying. My approach is warm, collaborative, and always guided by your pace. Together, we will build a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported, exactly as you are.
