Process what happened. On your terms, at your pace.
Trauma does not always look the way people expect. It is not limited to a single catastrophic event. It can be the accumulation of experiences that overwhelmed your ability to cope. The relationship that eroded your sense of self. The environment that never felt safe. The loss that changed everything.
Whatever your experience, trauma leaves a mark on how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how you move through the world. The good news is that trauma responds well to therapy, and you do not have to process it alone.
Our trauma-informed therapists create a safe, predictable environment where healing happens at your pace. We never push you somewhere you are not ready to go.
Who this is for.
- You have experienced a traumatic event or series of events that continue to affect your daily life.
- You experience flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, or emotional numbness related to past experiences.
- You find yourself avoiding certain places, people, or situations because they trigger painful memories.
- You struggle with trust, intimacy, or feeling safe in relationships.
- You experienced childhood trauma, abuse, neglect, or attachment disruption.
- You are a professional or athlete who has experienced trauma related to performance environments.
Our approach.
We take a phased approach to trauma therapy: first establishing safety and stabilisation, then processing traumatic material, and finally integrating your experience and building resilience for the future.
Modalities include somatic experiencing for trauma held in the body, narrative therapy to help you reclaim your story, attachment-focused therapy for relational trauma, cognitive processing therapy for the beliefs trauma has created about yourself and the world, and EMDR for memory reprocessing.
If EMDR is right for you, we offer it as a dedicated path. Otherwise we work with the modality that best fits where you are.
What to expect in session.
Trauma therapy begins slowly and deliberately. Your first several sessions focus on building trust with your therapist, understanding your history, and developing coping skills and resources that will support you throughout the process.
When you are ready, your therapist will guide you through processing material using whichever modality fits best. You are always in control of the pace. If something feels too much, you can pause at any time.
Single-incident trauma typically resolves more quickly than complex or developmental trauma. Pace is set by you and your therapist together. Virtual delivery has been validated by research as equally effective as in-person.
